Valuing People Project
To what extent does a people-centred management culture contribute to dairy farm profitability? The University of Melbourne is carrying out research which aims to measure the effect of good people management on farm business success. We need more participants for this research, which will benefit the dairy industry in general. To show our appreciation, farm managers and workers who complete the Valuing People questionnaires will receive an incentive through Red Sky.
Valuing People in Dairy farm Business Success
The University of Melbourne has teamed up with Red Sky to research the effect of good people management on farm business success. It will also identify which people management practices are most beneficial on dairy farms. Your contribution is vital to the success of this project.
Participating dairy farms must have at least two full time employees, which can include an owner/manager and a full time paid staff member. For larger farms (at least 3 full time employees) the staff can be made up of several part time people.
Participants will be asked to provide:
- A questionnaire filled in by the farm employer/manager
- A questionnaire filled in by one farm employee
- Farm business summary data for 2010/11 collected by Red Sky.
The Uni have prepared an Information for Participants document, which details how data will be kept confidential, researcher details, funding and further information. If you have any questions or would like to participate, please contact Fiona Smith at Red Sky in the first instance: email: fiona@redskyagri.com, phone (0418) 535 716. Participating farms will receive a $100 discount on the standard $445 (plus GST) fee for a one year Red Sky Farm Business Analysis.
